INFORMATION & RULES                    (PRINT AND MAIL TO THE ADDRESS BELOW)

  • The 2008 Arts and Crafts Celebration will be Saturday June 28, 9:00AM – 7:00PM and Sunday June 29, 9:00AM – 4:00PM. Setting up booths may begin June 27, 1:00 – 9:00PM.
  • Booth fee is $85 plus an additional $10 non-refundable jury fee. Send two checks (one for $85 and one for $10.00) payable to Circle of Friends. The $85 check will be returned if applicant is not selected to exhibit. Booth fee is non-refundable after the jury process is completed and the applicant is selected.
  • All applications must include 3 quality 4x6 photos that accurately represent the works to be exhibited. Close-ups are necessary to see quality of work.
  • Deadline for application is April 15, 2008. There will be a $15 late fee after April 15 (if space is available).
  •                                                                        SELECTION
  • The Arts and Crafts Celebration is a juried show. All accepted applicants will be notified by May 1. Judges are looking for uniqueness and originality, superior craftsmanship and eye-catching presentation. All decisions by the jury will be final.
  • Participation is open to all crafters/artists who exhibit work of original concept, design and execution. Only handcrafted work by the selling artist is acceptable.
  • The Arts and Crafts Celebration committee will screen booths Saturday morning and throughout the fair. Work in pictures must be representative of the work to be shown.
  • Only artists selling their own work will be eligible to participate.
  •                                                          GENERAL INFORMATION
  • All exhibitors are responsible for collecting and reporting 7% sales tax.
  • Each booth is approximately 12’x 12’. If necessary, more booths may be purchased.
  • Booth spaces must be constructed and ready for the public by 9:00AM Saturday and Sunday.
  • Crafters/artists must provide their own display system, contained within the 12’ x 12’ area, designed for outdoor use and capable of withstanding the elements. Stakes are allowed. The show will go on rain or shine.
  • Participants may leave the booth(s) up Friday and Saturday night. There will be limited security and the organizers of the show assume no responsibility or liability for loss or damage.
  • Booths must stay open during festival hours.
  • Crafters/artists who cancel without notifying coordinators or leave before the conclusion of the event will not be asked to participate in future festivals.
  • Pets must be on a leash and cleaned up after.
  • The Arts and Crafts Celebration will close at 4:00PM on Sunday. Each participant agrees to remove their booth, clean their area and exit the show in accordance with the rules and under the direction of Circle of Friends, Inc. NO EARLY TAKE DOWNS.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT

I have read the application and agree to abide by all the rules set forth for the 2008 Arts and Crafts Celebration, understanding that failing to do so may result in my being asked to leave the show without refund, and that I may not be eligible for future shows.

I agree to release and forever discharge the Arts and Crafts Celebration, Circle of Friends. Inc, 1880 Train, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Cramer, all sponsoring organizations, their directors, officers, employees, agents, and volunteers from any responsibility, personal liability, claims, loss, or damage arising out of or in conjunction with my application to or participation in the 2008 Arts and Crafts Celebration.

By signing this application form, the applicant acknowledges having received and read the application and information & rules and agrees to abide by all the rules set forth. Applicant declares that photos submitted for jury are representative of work to be exhibited and that Circle of Friends, Inc. reserve the right in its sole discretion to advise applicant of any work that does not meet the standards set forth and applicant agrees that such work will be immediately removed upon request by show officials. Failure to remove work or to abide by other rules set forth may result in applicant’s removal from the Arts and Crafts Celebration and applicant being prohibited from future participation. All applicants sharing a booth must sign the Release of Liability Agreement.
